All winter we have been anxiously awaiting to see what our broodmares would have in store for us.  It has been like waiting for Christmas around here.  You never know exactly what you are going to get.  (And there is no peeking!!) 

This winter has been long and miserable compared to what have been used to, and boy are we ready for spring to arrive.

Now that Spring has officially arrived, weather it feels like it has sprung or not, we are running around like chickens with our heads cut off.  We have babies hitting the ground, colts to imprint, colts to break and mares to get bred back for next year.  Not to mention trying to get our show mules in shape for the upcoming show season. 

We are a small operation in Southern Iowa, located near Woodburn, who have approximately 15 head of broodmares, 2 Jacks, and raise mules for what you might call a "Hobby".  We also have 1 team, and 8 riding mules.  In our spare time (ha ha) we attend some of our local mule shows.
